For simplicity, we prefer to use PayPal for all transactions since most people already have a PayPal account, and as soon as the funds are received by us, the name will be released to you.

If you require additional protection, we would normally use Escrow.com. They are a long-standing and entirely trustworthy Company, who act as an intermediary to the transaction; managing the transfer of funds between both parties and enacting the transfer of Registration. The purchase is finalised only once both parties are satisfied.

This is a slightly longer process, it requires you to already have an account with them but it does have the advantage of total security for both parties. Once the money has been received by them, it takes approximately 7 working days to complete the transfer. Giant Domains will expect the buyer to absorb the costs associated with this payment option, although they are not excessive.

Assuming PayPal is used for the transaction, as soon as we have received payment from them, we verify the purchase with you and initiate the transfer process with the Registrar. This can be a long-winded affair unless you already have an account with the domain’s current registrar.

We can always set up a transfer to your chosen registrar, which takes time,but the simplest way is for you to open an account with the domain’s current registrar so that all we have to do is enact an internal transfer of ownership. This typically take 2 business days to complete and once the domain has been received in your account with the domain’s current registrar, you will be able to move the domain to the registrar of your choosing.

Yes, once the domain has been moved into your account, you will have full control of and exclusive registration rights to the domain. You can then do anything you want with it, including transferring the domain to another registrar.

Usually all the domains we offer for sale are just names, without any content. Some might already be published, in which case you will only be buying the ownership of the name and none of the content.  But we do have an in-house team of skilled designers who are available to turn your dream into reality with the creation of just about any kind of site you desire, including the hosting, e-mail, design, and other related services.

The value of a domain is based on a number of factors, including comparable sales, the length of the domain and the meaning behind the name itself.

Historically, all our names were legal owned by Giant Domains. It is only recently that we have been acting as agents for some of our listed the domains in which case we have to defer to the owner prior to the completion of any sale.

All sales are subject to the final approval of Giant Domains and we reserve the right to deny fulfilment of any order at any time and for any reason. In the event that fulfilment of an order is terminated and payment has already been made by the buyer, we shall issue a complete refund immediately.

It is only once the domain name has been transferred into the buyer’s name and the buyer has received possession of the domain that the sale be considered final.

We do operate a listing service but before we accept any name for sale, we reserve the right to make our own assessment of the value. We are unable to accept names which we consider to be overpriced.
